He is living with another hedgehog that got a little to close to his face and scratched its eye which became infected. By the time I examined <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Bino</span> the eye needed to be removed, also called an <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">enucleation</span>. Here are some pictures of the surgery. He recovered fine and is back in class with his 7<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">th</span> grade science students!
